vRealize Operations credential-less Service Discovery on Microsoft Windows Server Core shows Authentication Status Failed

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When reviewing the Manage SDMP Services page in vRealize Operations, the Authentication Status of a Microsoft Windows Server Core Edition VM is Failed.
• When hovering over the Failed status icon, "VM Authentication status is failed" is seen.

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.10.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.6.x

Resolution

This is a known issue in vRealize Operations 8.x.
Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
