Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • The vRealize Log Insight Market place fails to load when accessing using a virtual IP address (vIP) FQDN.


Environment

VMware vRealize Log Insight 8.x
VMware vRealize Log Insight 8.1.x

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vRealize Log Insight 8.1.1 available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue in vRealize Log Insight 8.0, and 8.1, configure the Marketplace password in the Log Insight configuration.
  1. Navigate to the internal configuration page at https://LogInsight_Address/internal/config and log in using the local admin user.
  2. Check the Show all settings box.
  3. Find the marketplace-username and marketplace-password settings and configure them accordingly:

  1. Click Save.
