Windows 10 guest operating system option not available during VM creation

Issue/Introduction

When you create a Windows 10 virtual machine on ESXi 5.5, ESXi 5.5 Update 1, or ESXi 5.5 Update 2, there is no Windows 10 guest operating system option available to select during the virtual machine creation process.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5

Resolution

Select Windows 8 as the guest operating system for the VM if Windows 10 is unavailable.
