Issue/Introduction

This is an information only event that indicates Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) is disabled on the virtual distributed switch. The following might be reasons why LACP is disabled:
  • Incompatible teaming policy (see KB 2036300)
  • Inactive uplinks disable LACP (see KB 2036302)
  • Inconsistent uplink speeds disable LACP (see KB 2036303)
  • Inconsistent uplink duplex modes disable LACP (see KB 2036304)
  • No peer response from uplink disables LACP (see KB 2036305)

VMware vCenter Server 5.1.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 5.1

Resolution

Refer to the solutions for each of the above listed events that cause LACP to become disabled.
