Issue/Introduction

Authenticating the built-in vRealize Automation Solution in vRealize Operations 8.x requires specific username formatting to work with Workspace ONE Access, formerly vIDM.

VMware vRealize Operations 8.x

Resolution

To use Workspace ONE Access (vIDM) authentication, when creating the credentials for use in the vRealize Automation Management Pack, configure the UserName with simple username.

Note: Do not use user@domain, or user@domain@auth_source like you would for Active Directory based authentication.
