Issue/Introduction

This article provides information on VMware ESXi LOM support.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5

Resolution

VMware will support any LOM implementation of a NIC adapter that is listed on the VMware Compatibility Guide.

Note: The LOM’s Vendor ID (VID) and Device ID (DID) must be identical to that of the supported adapter, while the SVID and SSID can be different.
