Q1. Is there maximum length limit (software limit) for community string input field in probe UI ?

Q2. Is there any prohibited (software prohibited) characters for community string input field in probe UI ?


The following SNMP probes.

• cisco_monitor
• cisco_nxos
• interface_traffic
• netapp
• snmpget
• snmptd
• snmptoolkit

Resolution

A1. There is "No" limit on community string maximum length in probe UI.

A2. You can use ASCII characters only.

Note: snmptd probe recognizes single asterisk "*" as wildcard. (all community string)
