Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps to resolve the issue when you receive vROPS warning about vROPs Configuration after it has been removed from vCenter.

Symptoms:
You see this warning message in UI of vROPs after it is being removed from vCenter Server:
 
Please complete the configuration of the [vROPS Server IP] vCenter Operations Manager server on the Manage Page Products Tab.


Environment

VMware vCloud Usage Meter 3.6.x
VMware vCloud Usage Meter 3.4.x

Cause

This issue occurs because the vROPs server information may not be removed from the Usage Meter database after removing from vCenter.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:
  1. Ensure vROPs is unregistered and removed from vCenter. For more information, see the removal steps under the resolution section in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x Health Data is not present in the vSphere Web Client (2146360).
  2. In Usage Meter, under Products, delete all vCenters.
  3. Select Show Inactive in Usage Meter and re-activate all vCenters.
