Resizing the vSphere Web Client window does not resize a plugin view correctly

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When using a vSphere Web Client plugin and changing the browser size, you experience these symptoms:

• The plugin view does not resize correctly in relation to the rest of the client.
• The view content spills over other views.

Environment

VMware vSphere Web Services SDK 5.5
VMware vSphere Web Services SDK 4.1

Cause

This issue occurs on rare occasions for HTML plugins when you change the browser size or adjust the view size (horizontal and vertical sliders). This issue occurs because the HTML view is displayed with the help of an iFrame which is outside the client's main Flex content.

Resolution

This is a known issue with HTML plugins affecting vSphere Web Client 5.5 and 6.0.

To work around this issue, use one of these options to restore a clean UI:

• Adjust the vertical or horizontal slider to force a redraw of the view.
• Go to another view and come back to the plugin view.
• Refresh the browser.​
