Unable to add additional storage to VMware vSphere Storage Appliance after installation

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• After installing and setting up the VMware vSphere Storage Appliance (VSA) 1.0, there is no option to add storage or extend the existing storage.
• You cannot add or extend storage for the VSA.

Environment

VMware vSphere Storage Appliance 1.0.x

Resolution

VSA 1.0 does not support adding more storage to a VSA cluster after it is installed. You cannot add additional hard disks to the ESXi hosts and you cannot add more VSA cluster members. Ensure that your VSA cluster has enough storage to meet your environment needs before installing the VSA cluster.

To increase the capacity of the VSA 1.0 cluster, you must recreate the cluster.
