Resolution
You can access the vCenter Support Assistant proxy configuration by running this command in the virtual appliance console:
configure-network
This configuration tool allows you to configure the proxy server settings as needed:
Proxy server and proxy port
This is the standard proxy server address that could be a fully qualified domain name or the IP address (proxy.somedomain.com or 10.20.11.2)
Proxy port is the port on which the proxy server is running. The default port is 3128.
For non-proxy hosts, you can specify which hosts not to proxy.
By default, hosts under the 10.*|172.16.*|192.168.* networks are not proxied as they are local networks. Multiple different networks are separated using a | symbol. You can also specify a network using a domain (for example, *.mynetwork.com), which will not proxy hosts with a domain ending mynetwork.com.
Authenticated proxy server settings allowing you to set a user name and password to get authenticated on an authenticated proxy server.
Proxy user name and password are the credentials required for getting authenticated.
Basic and Digest based authenticated proxies are currently supported by the vCenter Support Assistant virtual appliance.
