Issue/Introduction
- Below warnings will be seen:
vdrb: VdrProcessRouteUpdateMessageAddRoutes:270: CP:Route Add: Entry 0: Unable to Add prefix = 0x####, prefixLength= ##, gw = 0x####### status: Address already in use
- TOP edge gateway try to redistribute a static route to the DLR via OSPF and in the DLR that route is a interface connected to a LIF.
Example:
DLR - Lif1 = 10.0.0.1 / 24 = Connected network.
TOP Edge gateway have a static route to 10.0.0.0/24 destination uplink of the edge gateway.
- OSPF is setup to redistribute static routes.
Environment
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
Resolution
This issue occurs as the edge gateway does not support inter-area route filtering.
To avoid this message, remove the static routes or in the option of the redistribution don't redistribute static.
These messages are informational and harmless. It will be only visible on ESXi host where the DLR is present.
