Moving a HA enabled NSX Edge to a different cluster fails

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Attempting to move an Edge in HA mode to a different cluster, by editing the configuration under Logical Router Appliances fails.
• Redeploying the edge restore the edge in the original cluster and host.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x

Resolution

To resolve the issue:

1. Disable HA.
2. Edit Configuration under Logical Router Appliance.
3. Select the new cluster, host, datastore to be migrated and save which triggers an automatic redeployment of the Edge Appliance in a host in the new cluster
4. Enable HA.
