  • JunOS Space Security Director 17.1 (VMware recommended version is 17.1R2)

  • VMware NSX – 6.2.4/6.3.0
  • VMware ESXi – 5.5 and above (For 6.5 see the note below)

Note: To deploy service is ESXi 6.5 version ,add the deployment spec for the Juniper service registered. In vCenter Web Client, Go to Networking and Security> Service Definitions> Select Juniper Service > Manage > Deployment. Under specification, click + . For 6.5.*, OVF url same as present for 5.5 and 6.0 version and VMCI set to enabled.

Steps to download and install the product on VMware products
  1. To set up a Junos Space Virtual Appliance, see the Junos Space Virtual Appliance Installation and Configuration Guide.
  2. Install the Security Director application. For more information, see Adding a Junos Space Application.
  3. Download and install the matching Junos OS schema to manage SRX Series devices. For more information, see Updating a DMI Schema.

  4. Download, deploy, and configure the Policy Enforcer virtual machine. For more information, see Deploying and Configuring the Policy Enforcer Virtual Machine.
  5. Add Policy Enforcer in Security Director. For more information, see Identifying the Policy Enforcer Virtual Machine In Security Director.
