Issue/Introduction

Error when downloading probes from the web archive using Infrastructure Manager.

NimList CNimListCtrl - OnDownloadMsg: Error creating CNimPackageEditor Ocx 

The UIM Server and archive is installed on Windows Server 2012, and Infrastructure Manager is working fine on the UIM Server.  Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is installed as a feature on Windows 7.

Environment

• Windows 7 64-bit

Resolution

Try a reinstall/uninstall-reinstall of IM.

Note any errors regarding missing or unregistered .dlls. For example:

Not all ocx\dll files are registered properly. The file(s): C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\lib\NimCfgLib.ocxC:\Program Files(x86)\Nimsoft\lib\NimPackageEditor.ocx

or on download attempts:

CNimListCtrl - OnDownloadMsg:Error creating CNimPackageEditor Ocx

If install/reinstall doesn't work then check if this package is installed:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package x86.  You MUST install the x86 version in addition to the x64 version!

If only Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is installed it wont work.

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package to the Windows server and reinstall IM and it will resolve the issue.
