Question:

How to use Enhanced MIB Parsing

Answer:

For the enhanced MIB parsing, here is the explanation with example. Some MIBs have the below entities as defined for traps :
1. Severity
2. Summary

So, when you enable the option 'Enhance MIB Parsing' and create the trap profile then probe takes these values from the MIB for the concerned trap and put them as Profile's Default 'Severity' and 'Message text' respectively.

If you don't enable this option then by default probe always put 'Severity' as "Warning" and 'Message Text' as "Enterprise ($E), $TRAP_DESCR - $VARIABLES".
