Migration Assistant fails with "Unsupported custom ports found: vpxd.int.sdk-tunnel-port (8090, default 8089)"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• In the migration-assistant.log, you see the following entry :

                       "Unsupported custom ports found: vpxd.int.sdk-tunnel-port (8090, default 8089)"

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 6.5.x

Cause

• This occurs when the vCenter Server was installed with a port other than 8089.

Resolution

To change the port back to the default value :

1. Log in to vCenter Server Web Client.
2. Select the vCenter Server node.
3. Click on the “Manage” Tab
4. Select “Advanced Settings” and Click on the “Edit” button.
5. Find the key “config.vpxd.secureSoapPort”.
6. Change the port value to the default port 8089 and click OK.
