Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
Run SSH command workflow fails to connect to RHEL9 servers.
You see an error similar to:
Unable to execute command: InternalError: Session.connect: java.io.IOException: End of IO Stream Read
or
Unable to execute command: InternalError: Session.connect: java.security.SignatureException: Signature length not correct: got 404 but was expecting 384
Environment
VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.x
Cause
This issue is caused due to a change with default cryptographic policies in RHEL9.
Resolution
Workaround:
Use the attached updated version of the SSH plugin to use Key Authentication
To workaround this issue, update the cryptographic policy to SHA1 on the affected RHEL9 server. For more information, see Redhat documentation.
