Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After upgrading vRSLCM 8.0GA to version 8.0.1GA, in the Locker UI, license validation fails with a valid license key.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

During vRSLCM upgrade the /tmp/dlfRepo directory is removed and new dlfs downloaded after the upgrade. This issue can occur due to one of the following:
  • The tmp/dlfRepo directory was not deleted during the upgrade.
  • The dlfs failed to download from contentRepo after the upgrade.

Resolution

To resolve this issue run the attached script:
  1. Download and transfer the attached 77037_license-script.py to the vRSLCM VM.
  2. Run the script with this command: python 77037_license-script.py
  3. From the vRSLCM UI navigate to Lifecycle Operations > Home > Requests.
  4. Confirm the Updating License association for new product versions task completes.
