vim-cmd /vmsvc/get.guest reports an incorrect guest operating system for Windows 10 VMs

Issue/Introduction

On ESXi 5.5 GA, ESXi 5.5 Update 1, ESXi 5.5 Update 2, and ESXi 6.0 GA releases, the command vim-cmd /vmsvc/get.guest vmid, where vmid is the virtual machine ID of a Windows 10 VM, reports Windows 8 as the guest operating system. The version of VMware Tools available on these hosts cannot recognize Windows 10 releases correctly.
