[vRNI] Users privileges required to add vSphere component as a data source

Issue/Introduction

This article provides the list of privileges a vSphere user requires to add a vSphere component to vRNI.

Symptoms:
On the UI, when you query the information about an host, the Host Control Plane and the ESX Vibs fields display this message: No data to show

Environment

VMware vRealize Network Insight 3.x

Resolution

To add any vSphere component to vRNI, you must have these privileges:

• System.Anonymous
• System.Read
• System.View
• Distributed Switch: Modify
• dvPort group: Modify
• Global.Settings
