The Protection Group status for the VM shows a "not found" network assignment on the Recovery Network section:

The SRM service logs (vmware-dr) show the following error:

dr.replication.fault.RecoveryNetworkNotFound

Environment

VMware Site Recovery Manager 8.x

Cause

When changes are made to objects such as folders/clusters/networks in vCenter the administrator will be required to unprotect and reprotect the VMs to update their SRM mapping details.

Prior to any SRM workflow please validate not only the protection status of the VM's but also the VM's mapping information under the Protection Group and Virtual Machines tab.

Resolution

A VM's protection should be removed and recreated for the network mappings to be updated in SRM 8.5 and below.

In SRM 8.6 site level mappings are dynamically updated to existing protection groups. For more information see the SRM 8.6 release notes here.
