Introduction:
How do I define a GLOBAL profile in DML/O?
Instructions:
CA-IDMS DML/O provides users the ability to define their own PROFILEs in order to save specific session information. In general, such profiles are specific to the user who created them.
However, it is possible to define a DML/O profile as GLOBAL, so that it can be used by all users on the system.
To do this, simply log on to CA-IDMS with a user-id equal to the value specified in the GLOBID parameter in the USDTPARM macro during DML/O installation.
The default is DMLOSYS.
DML/O profiles created and maintained with this user-id are available to all users.
Additional Information:
See the .CAGJSRC(USDTPARM) installation member for sample USDTPARM input, and the .CAGJSAMP(USDTPARM) for sample link-edit JCL.
For information about defining profiles in DML/O, see the CA IDMS DML Online User Guide, Chapter 2 “CA IDMS DMLO Session”, under the section “CA IDMS DMLO Session”.
