vRO Control Center fails with warning message "No groups match the criteria"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Configuring authentication provider in vRO Control Center fails with warning message - "No groups match the criteria".

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs when you try to configure the vRO authentication provider with custom admin group from a non-default tenant. The list of custom admin groups in the search filter displays only the groups available in the default vsphere.local tenant.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.6.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue:

1. Login to vRO Control Center.
2. Navigate to the Change Authentication Provider page.
3. Click CHANGE button and provide your custom tenant. Click APPLY button.
4. Provide your custom admin group in the following pattern: domain\group, where domain is an active directory or LDAP domain where the custom security group resides.

Example: corp.local\vro-admin-group

5. Click SAVE CHANGES (do not use the SEARCH button).
6. [Optional] Navigate to Test Login tab and verify you can perform successful authentication with an user from the custom admin group.
