Issue/Introduction

Question:

Why am I receiving an "Error 401 - Unauthorized" message when accessing a Project if I am already a Team member for that Project?

Answer:

When a Resource does not have explicit rights (either granted by Instance, OBS or Global rights) to open a Project, being a Team member is not enough. It is necessary for that Resource to be a Participant, which will grant limited access to the Project.

Adding an Employee Resource as a Team member automatically adds it to the Project's Participant list, but being a Team member does not guarantee being a Participant. You can check if a Resource is a Participant by going to Project > Team > Participants with a user with sufficient rights.
