Issue/Introduction

  • If you go to Edge - Grouping objects - IP Sets and you start typing IP address in the search box, not only the local IP Sets are returned in the results but the IP Sets for all edges in the environment.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere 6.4.5

Workaround:
Name your IPSets with relevant to the edge names. 

NB: If you use ":" in some of the names for the IPSets, certain versions of vCloud Director will not be able to read them. Do not use ":" in the IPSet names. 


Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
This makes the environment hard to manage especially if vCloud Director is being used as the edge names start with long vCD ID
