Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

In order for Identity Manager to integrate with an SAP ERP endpoint using the R3 Connector, the SAP JCo needs to be installed. In addition to the information provided on our wiki (which is located here: How to Connect to SAP ERP or SAP UME - CA Identity Management & Governance Connectors - CA Wiki) There are a few details that your SAP administrator will need to handle on the endpoint.

Instructions:

  • Your SAP administrator needs to ensure that the appropriate ports are open on the SAP side. JCO accesses SAP over the standard set of SAP ports used to communicate with SAPGUI. In this case, JCO uses ports 3200, 3300, and 3600 depending on how the SAP application server is configured (single server versus message server). The default port is 3300.

  • Your SAP administrator also needs to ensure that there is an account with SAP all privileges that can be used in the Identity Manager connector as the login credentials for the endpoint.
