Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Windows 10 32/64-bit VM is deployed as Other 32-bit Guest OS from the Content Library.
  • Windows Server 2016 64-bit VM is deployed as Other 32-bit Guest OS from the Content Library.


Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs as the Content Library in vCenter Server 6.0.x does not have the mappings for Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 OS.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting vCenter Server 6.0.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 6.5.
