Issue/Introduction

Question:

I am executing DDSDCLM and getting many of these errors:

Sample Messages :
DDSDCA100A AREA DATA-DICT-AREA-1 PASSWORD DOES NOT MATCH BASIS ( 1
DDSDCC100A COLUMN (FIELD) AGGREGATE.ANY-PARTITION-AUTHID PASSWORD 2297
DDSDCD100A DATABASE DATA-DICT PASSWORD DOES NOT MATCH BASIS ( /** 1
DDSDCE100A ELEMENT AGGREGATE.AGR-REQRD PASSWORD DOES NOT MATCH BA 111
DDSDCT100A TABLE AGGREGATE PASSWORD DOES NOT MATCH BASIS ( /****) 32

Answer:

By default the password value for the Database 002 (DataDictionary) is "DD".

To know which value you have set up in your own DataDictionary you may execute the following DDUTILTY report:

//SYSIN DD *
-USR DATACOM-INSTALL,NEWUSER
-DEF PATH,STANDARD
-END
-RPT START,DATABASE,DATA-DICT(T001,PRIV),STANDARD
-RPT INDEX,(,PRIV)
-END
//

Column PSWD will indicate the value of your password.

The DDSDCLM messages will reflect any difference between the basis module and your DataDictionary.

Additional Information:

Action regarding that message:
There may be no action required but during an upgrade to a new release there could be conflicts which result in errors and the need to modify the upgrade transactions. If the local PASSWORD value is changed to match the Basis then no such problem should arise. The PASSWORD can be changed by using the DDUPDATE 1000 NEWPSWD transaction or by using the UPDATE PASSWORD command in DDOL.
