Issue/Introduction

  Issue:

  An APM Introscope Agent is not creating/writing data in AutoProbe.log and IntroscopeAgent.log for the instrumented Application Server.

 

  Environment:

  The APM Introscope Agent profile has been modified to write logs for another location outside of Agent or Application Server directory.

 

  Cause:

  The directory did not have permission set properly for the user that is starting the application server.

 

   Resolution:

   The user that is starting the application server creates and writes data in AutoProbe.log and IntroscopeAgent.log. This user must have create/write permissions to

   the directory where the AutoProbe.log and IntroscopeAgent.log would reside according to the APM Introscope Agent profile.
