Application-Consistent Quiescing snapshot is not enabled by default for Windows Server 2022

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Unable to take Application-Consistent Quiesced snapshot.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.3

Cause

No "disk.EnableUUID = "TRUE"" parameter in vmx file when creating new Windows Server 2022 virtual machine from vSphere Client on vSphere 7.0 U3c

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vSphere 7.0.3 U3d

Workaround:

1. Shutdown the virtual machine.
2. After VM is in powered off state, right click the VM, select “Edit Settings” -> “VM Options” -> “Advanced” -> “Configuration Parameters” -> “EDIT CONFIGURATION”, click “Add New Configuration Params”.
3. Input “disk.EnableUUID” in “Name” column, type “True” in “Value” column.
4. Click “OK” to save the change.
