Remove a solution from vRealize Operations.

Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps on removing a Solution from vRealize Operations.

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.0.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 7.0.x
VMware vRealize Operations Manager 7.5.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.1.x

Resolution

Follow the steps below for your version of vRealize Operations.
 

vRealize Operations Manager 7.0

  1. Log into the vRealize Operations Manager UI as an administrative user.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Solutions.
  3. Select the solution your want to remove, and click Uninstall Solution.
  4. Check I understand the risk and agree, then click OK.
Note: Solution Uninstall status can be seen at the top of the Solutions page.
 

vRealize Operations Manager 7.5 and Later

  1. Log into the vRealize Operations Manager UI as an administrative user.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Solutions > Repository.
  3. Click Uninstall under the solution you want to remove.
  4. Check I understand the risk and agree, then click OK.
Note: Solution Uninstall status can be seen at the top of the Solutions page.
 
Notes:
  • You must log out and log in to vRealize Operations Manager UI for the changes to be reflected.
  • You cannot uninstall native solutions. They can only be activated or deactivated


Additional Information

vRealize Operations Manager Cluster fails to come online after an upgrade to 7.0


Impact/Risks: Uninstalling Solutions that are bundled with vRealize Operations is not possible.
