Issue/Introduction

Provide steps on how to manually unmount NFS datastores from the VMC ESXi hosts.

Symptoms:
Customer is no longer in need of their NFS datastores and is wanting them removed from the SDDC. Customer has attempted to remove the datastore themselves using the [email protected] credentials, but the option to delete is greyed out.

Resolution

Confirm the NFS datastore cannot be unmounted using the following steps with [email protected] - https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.storage.doc/GUID-1B56EF97-F60E-4F21-82A7-8F2A7294604D.html

If the option to unmount the datastore is greyed out within the unmount wizard, please create an SR with VMC GS (Creating and managing Broadcom support cases) with the request to unmount the datastore. Please provide the name(s) of the datastore and the ESXi host(s) that the datastore is wanting to be unmounted from.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
There should be no impact/downtime to the Cloud vCenter or ESXi hosts when unmounting the NFS datastore.
