Issue/Introduction

Detail how the SSL Certificate Thumbprint can be pulled using a Web Browser.

Symptoms:
Customer needs to confirm exactly what the SSL Certificate Thumbprint is for a given VMC SDDC vCenter.

Cause

Customer needs to verify SSL Thumbprint match prior to integrating with the VMC SDDC vCenter.

Resolution

Open up a web browser and navigate to the VMC SDDC vCenter's FQDN. This would require the correct network link (Public or private depending on configuration) along with the required Management Gateway Firewall rules to allow access from our Source Machine to the SDDC vCenter over HTTPS (TCP\443).

Click the lock icon on the top left side of the URL Box.

Click on "Connection is Secure" > "Certificate is Valid" buttons. This will open a new pop-up containing the SDDC vCenter's installed certificate.

The SSL Certificates Thumbprint can be viewed by clicking the Details tab > Scrolling down and viewing the "Thumbprint" field.
