Cause
This issue occurs because of insufficient privileges.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, perform one of these options:
- When importing a Hyper-V virtual machine running on Windows 2008 R2 by using vCenter Enterprise Converter or Standalone Converter, disable User Access Control (UAC) for the user account that is used to access Hyper-V.
To disable UAC:
- Go to Control Panel > User Accounts.
- In the User Account Tasks window, click Turn User Account on or off.
- Deselect Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer option and click OK.
- Reboot the virtual machine after disabling UAC.
- If you have Administrator privileges and do not want to disable UAC, Launch vCenter Standalone Converter selecting Run as Administrator.
