MTU settings on existing distributed switch is overwritten via cluster Quickstart

Issue/Introduction

If the cluster network is configured via Quickstart with an existing virtual distributed switch, the MTU value of virtual distributed switch will be overwritten by the value from the virtual standard switch after the network migration.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting ESXi 6.7 U1.
To workaround this issue, update MTU settings for distributed switch after network migration. For more information, see Enabling Jumbo Frames on virtual distributed switches (1038827)
