Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
vCenter Server upgrade from 6.7 GA to 6.7.0a, fails with error code 3010 with an error message "Installation of component VMware Directory Service client failed".

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Resolution

This is a known issue.

Currently, there is no solution.

Workaround:
To resolve this issue,
  1. Reconfigure embedded vCenter Server.
  2. Reboot vCenter.
  3. Start the upgrade process.
