Currently, there is no resolution.
Workaround:
To work around this issue when installing the ubuntu-19.04-live-server-amd64.iso:
- Create a virtual machine in ESXi and mount iso ubuntu-19.04-server-amd64.iso.
- Power on virtual machine, the installer begins and hit the issue.
- Switch to another console with command Alt + F2, in the new console, update installer subiquity with command sudo snap refresh subiquity.
- Switch back to the default console with command Alt + F1 and follow the wizard to finish the installation.
To work around this issue when installing the
ubuntu-19.04-server-amd64.iso:
- Power off the virtual machine
- Edit the virtual machine changing the vCPU's to a minimum of 2.
