Issue/Introduction
The virtual machine file system heap size values can be adjusted within the following limits:

Environment
VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0
Resolution
Use the following procedure and set the values within suggested limits in the above table:
- Log in to vCenter Server or the ESXi host using vSphere Client. If connecting to vCenter Server, select the ESXi host from the inventory.
- Click the Configuration tab.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Select VMFS3.
- Update the field in VMFS3.MaxHeapSizeMB with the options as per the limits.
- Restart the ESXi Host for the changes to take effect.
