• Installation of windows server version 1709  on NVME disk failed on ESXi 6.5.
• During OS installation, you may get similar errors:

Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer’s hardware

Windows could not complete the Installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5

Resolution

Upgrade ESXi to 6.5 U1 or later.
