The clear time of momentary notification in Smarts may not be the same as the clear time in Watch4net for the same event.
Any momentary notifications received by Watch4net from Smarts are treated as zero duration events.
Watch4Net/M&R 7.x
Smarts allows for a duration to be placed on notifications generated from trap and syslog sources which allows for a notification to remain active for a period of time therefore the clear time may be a configured time after the notify time.
However, trap and syslog events are considered a single point in time in Watch4net, and therefore momentary events from Smarts have a zero duration and the clear time is the same as the notify time.
This is working as per Watch4net design for Smarts momentary notifications. In some circumstances, it might be appropriate to class the notification as durable.
For example, if a clear from the network element is expected, in which case Watch4net will use the same clear time as the Smarts notification.
