Issue/Introduction

This Article explains about reports that do not have data or are not reflecting the same number of devices being monitored.

  • When viewing the Trending & Forecasting Analysis summary report, it displays Number of Resources Monitored but its numbers does not always match with its child reports (File System Utilization, Interface Usage, CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization).

Environment

M&R - 7.x

Cause

  • The Number of Resources Monitored in Trending & Forecasting Analysis summary report reflects the actual number of devices being monitored. The child reports may be blank or not reflect the same number of devices due to certain report display conditions.

    • Report Display Conditions

I. File System Utilization

The report will only show devices which falls under Major Severity and above. A device will be displayed when "Should Run Out of Space in" column has a value of 30 days or less.

II. Interface Usage and CPU Utilization

Both reports have same display condition. A device will only be displayed if column "Will Reach 90% in" has a value of 30 days or less.

III. Memory Utilization:

A device will only be displayed when "Next 7 Days Projection (%)" column has values of 85% and above.

Resolution
