Property tagging not updated for all properties in Smarts

Issue/Introduction

Some properties in a device imported from Smarts are not being assigned values from the property tagging filter or are not being updated with new values.

Environment

Watch4Net/M&R - 7.X

Cause

This is due to the fact that these properties are not being updated from Smarts.

Resolution

To double check this, you can check the instrumentation for the object in Smarts using dmctl:

./dmctl -s <domain> get Class::Device::InstrumentedBy

 

If the InstrumentedBy value is { }, you need to check the Smarts installation to find out why it is not instrumented. 

Most likely it is due to an interface  or port not being managed.
