We are planning on migrating to a BC12 processor, DS8870 DASD and TS720 tape subsystem.
How do I find if there are any fixes needed to support these items? For Common Services and all the other CA products we have.
The recommendation is to visit the CA Compatibility pages on CA Support Online.
Here you will find a link for "Mainframe Products (click here)". This will open a new window where you can select what you are interested in. So for the BC12 processor, select "IBM zEnterprise EC12 (zEC12) Certification".
You can also use FIXCAT Categories to run SMP/E reports if you have received all the ERROR HOLDDATA. There is information on the support site regarding FIXCAT HOLDDATA.

As for your DASD and tape subsystems, there is nothing within CA Common Services that is of concern. There is no compatibility or FIXCAT category that relates to these items so you will have to contact the individual CA Product teams specifically. I would limit it to any CA Product that directly interfaces with DASD or Tape subsystems.
