Issue/Introduction

Loading new classes created by Dynamic Modeling at Runtime as follows:

dmctl -s <domain> invoke SM_System::SM-System loadModel <modelfilename> SM_DYNAMIC_LIBRARY

Classes loaded that were created by Dynamic Modeling at Runtime do not show up in the discovery filter tab until the Smarts Domain Manager is restarted.

Environment

All supported releases on Smart

Cause

Smarts Dynamic Modeling is designed to load dynamic models during startup. Since they are not available during a repository restore, any instances of classes that are not defined are ignored and are not restored from the *.rps file.

Resolution

Smarts Dynamic Modeling is functioning as designed. To make the discovery filter aware of classes added through a dynamic model during Runtime would require a product enhancement. If you require this functionality, please submit a product enhancement request.
