Smarts SAM: Why am I seeing ??? symbols in alarm notifications?

Symptoms:


Certain type of alarms are displaying ??? like:

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

This is caused by the presence of a ttp - a temporary fix was provided for an issue via a ttp and the .dat files are not properly picked up by the test patch.
The ??? symbols will not appear in the GA fix

Smarts is working as designed.

Resolution

The GA code will remove these.

Please update to the latest Smarts Release or Patch.
