Can Smart Assurance Network Protocol Manager (Smart Assurance NPM) discover the IsPassive value of an interface?

Resolution

Passive interface detection using CLI in NPM-OSPF is available in Smart Assurance NPM. The following are the 'show interface' commands used in the different vendor types:

• Cisco IOS XR: show ip ospf interface
   
• Force 10: sh ip ospf interface
   
• Cisco IOS: show ip ospf interface
   
• Juniper: show ospf interface <fe-0/2/0.1> detail
   
• Juniper ERX: sh ip ospf interface <gi1/0.1>

There is no way in the OSPF-MIB to distinguish between passive and non-passive interfaces.
