Notifications in SAM not getting created/updated/cleared from Smarts IP

 

The Event driver stuck in PENDING_STOP state and is unresponsive

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The Event driver stuck in PENDING_STOP state and is unresponsive

Resolution

As a fix, we have set a deadman timer to 30 seconds before calling the RSA handshake function to restore any previous deadman value after the negotiation.

The fix has been included in 9.2.2 patch 8 and above.  Please download and install this patch to resolve the issue.
