Smarts IP 9.2: Temperature Sensor is OutOfRange in UCS B-Series

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:





Unneeded Temperature Sensor OutofRange alerts are received for UCS B-Series devices in Smarts IP 9.2 and Smarts Server Manager 9.2.

Cause

This issue can be seen with any of the UCS-B series devices because of the settings configured for the Smarts IP UseMIBThresholds.

Resolution

If you encounter this issue, do the following:

1. In Smarts IP Polling and Thresholds, select the Thresholds tab and navigate to System Resource Groups > Other Systems > Settings.
2. Select Environment and change the value for the UseMIBThresholds attribute value (shown below) to from "true" to "false":

3. Click reconfigure.
