Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


Missing the sm_ems and the sm.xml files from the SAM/smarts/bin installation.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The sm_ems command functions and the sm.xml are installed when you install the Smarts Adapter Platform (OI) on the same server as SAM.

Resolution

If you need to use the sm_ems command line functions, please install the SAM Adapter Platform (OI) on the server so that you will have the sm_ems command line interface available.
